Download

One package. Node.js 20.11 or newer.

The CLI is published as the nordai npm package. It has no native dependencies and stores credentials outside your shell history.

Install

Requires Node.js 20.11+ on macOS, Linux or Windows (Git Bash, PowerShell or Terminal).

v0.1.0

Install globally

npm install -g nordai@latest

Run without installing

npx nordai@latest

Verify installation

nordai --version && nordai doctor

nordai login

Sign in without pasting secrets

nordai login starts a device authorization flow: the CLI shows a code, you approve it in your dashboard, and the CLI receives a revocable device credential. Alternatively export a customer API key as NORDAI_API_KEY — never the router key.

What gets installed

  • Packagenordai (Node.js, TypeScript, ESM)
  • RuntimeNode.js ≥ 20.11
  • Binariesnordai
  • NetworkHTTPS to your configured NordAI API base URL
  • CredentialsOS credential store when available, otherwise a 0600 file
  • Telemetrynone

Update or remove

npm update -g nordai@latest
npm uninstall -g nordai

Credentials and sessions live in ~/.nordai (or %USERPROFILE%\\.nordai on Windows). Removing the package does not delete that directory.

Installing from source

The CLI is part of the NordAI monorepo under apps/cli. From a checkout, run npm install at the repository root and then npm run cli to launch it without a global install.

Pointing at a different API

Set NORDAI_API_URL to target a staging deployment, for example http://localhost:8080 during development. The default is https://nordai.my.id/api. The CLI refuses plain-HTTP endpoints unless they are loopback.

Troubleshooting

  • nordai doctor checks Node version, API reachability, credentials and workspace state.
  • If the API returns quota_exceeded, the CLI prints the reset time from the server response.
  • If streaming stops, the CLI reports the upstream error code instead of pretending the request succeeded.
